Not only did Olivia & Andreas invite me to capture their wedding story in the beautiful Italian part of Switzerland, Ticino - but I was also fortunate enough to photograph the meets and greets from the pre-wedding party on the evening before their big day. I was so pleased to find out I was going to photograph a wedding in Ticino; in a country spoilt for natural beauty, Switzerland’s southernmost canton is my favourite region – a fantastic choice of wedding location! Bordering Italy and surrounded by wonderful lakes, it shares the rustic charm, language and general belezza of Italy. Martina and Benedict chose the ancient castle Castello di Morcote in Vico Morcote for their ceremony. Situated high up in the sloping, lush vineyards with a jaw-dropping view down at the tranquil Lake Lugano - their outdoor ceremony couldn’t have been any more romantic!
