Hey, I’m Jim and I’m a photographer from Manchester in the UK, living and working in beautiful Zürich! I’ve been photographing weddings and families here for the last 5 years and my photography style is documentary. I love to capture unscripted stories, to tell an authentic and honest visual narrative of your family adventure - doing what you love together, in the place you love the most.
I’ve always loved photographing kids since the start of my photography career - each little person with their own big personality - exploring the wonders of the world, without any inhibitions! It’s an absolute joy to see and always a reminder of just how incredible our environment is, to never be complacent or stop finding happiness in all the little details of the world around us. It’s completely refreshing for me to see this perspective, and never gets boring for me to capture.

Your family Adventure in the wild - here’s How it works
It’s quite simple really, we choose an awesome location somewhere outdoors (Switzerland has plenty of those!) and I document the magic that unfolds around me in the way I believe it should be told – completely naturally and with a creative touch. I aim to capture the emotion, the character and the unique spirit of your family adventure.
Before the shoot we will discuss where your favourite places are, and what your favourite things to do are as a family. Jumping in the lake, skating in the city, splashing in the river, roasting mushrooms in the forest - whatever is an enjoyable thing to do for you together as a family, is perfect for me and my photography.
The most important thing remember, is to choose something that you know your kids will (potentially!) love. However, things never run completely smoothly with children as we all know, and this is something I want to embrace. The most powerful photographs of children for me are actually the moments in between playing; or even if things work out completely differently as originally planned - that’s all okay, it’s real, it’s life and it’s all part of their story - I love the way kids will always be true to themselves and this is what I love to document more than anything else.
So let’s let kids be kids, the rough times, the fun times, the ups, the downs - I’m here to capture this special period in your families life, one that not only will you love to remember and look back on as time goes on - but also when your children are grown up, and having a family of their own - memories that can be passed down from generation to generation.

A few of the most common questions I’ve received from the families I’ve worked with.
How much does the shoot cost?
I offer the following 3 packages - Slice Of Life (2 hours photography), Half Day In The Life (4 hours photography) and Day In The Life (8 hours photography). Each package includes all of the details listed above, however the number of images depends on the hours of photography coverage.

Can we print from the high resolution files we receive?
Absolutely! As is standard practice, I retain copyright, but you have unlimited printing rights to the high-resolution images so you can print the photos as many times and at whatever size you like. You can also share them with your family and friends. The only thing you can’t do is sell them or modify them.
How long will it take until I receive my photos?
It typically takes around 1-2 weeks to receive your photos - however this time could be slightly more or less depending on how many other shoots I have booked in and if it is the wedding ‘high season’ as during this period I’m super busy!
Will the images be in colour or black & white?
All images are digitally captured and individually edited in the digital dark room - I use my artistic judgement as to which images will look better in colour or black and white, and the final images will be an awesome mixture of the two.

OK great! Just fill out the booking form below or email me (hello@jimparkerphoto.com) to let me know that you would like to book me, then it’s just a case finding a suitable date for the shoot and paying the fees for your chosen package.
Can we decide later if we want an album? Is it okay if we use another printer?
Yes of course you can decide at any time in the future, this is no problem at all. Yes you own the printing rights so it is entirely up to you who creates your album.
