I'm Jim — a documentary wedding photographer who has been based in Zürich since 2016. This city is my home, and I know it intimately: the light on the lake in the late afternoon, the hidden courtyards in Niederdorf, the energy of a Zürich crowd when the music starts. I photograph weddings here the way I photograph everything — naturally, honestly, and without asking you to pose.
Zürich has an incredible range of wedding venues — from the grand civic ceremony rooms of the Stadthaus to industrial-cool spaces, intimate restaurants, and rooftop terraces with views across the city and lake. After nearly a decade photographing weddings here, I've worked across most of them, and that familiarity makes a real difference on the day.

A lot of photographers travel to Zürich for weddings, which is completely fine — but there's something different about working with someone who catches the tram home afterwards. I know which spots catch the best evening light, where to go for a quiet five minutes with the two of you between the ceremony and dinner, and how to navigate a Zürich wedding day without any stress. I've been part of this city's wedding scene since 2016. My partner grew up here. This is home — and I would be happy to show you around anytime!

Since 2016 — so nearly a decade. I've photographed weddings at a huge range of Zürich venues and in every season. Winter weddings with snow on the rooftops, summer celebrations by the lake, spring ceremonies in the old town. I genuinely love this city and it shows up in the work.
Very well. I've shot at Stadthaus, Bar Helvetia, Cigarettenfabrik, The Hive, and many more across the city. That familiarity means I already know the light, the layout, and the best moments to anticipate — so nothing is wasted figuring it out on the day.
Documentary. I observe and capture rather than directing and posing. The result is a set of photos that actually looks like your wedding day — real emotions, real moments, real people having a great time. I do a brief set of relaxed portraits and family shots, but I keep them short so you can get back to the party.

Absolutely. Stadthaus elopements, small civil ceremonies, intimate dinners for twenty people — I love these as much as big celebrations. Some of my favourite work has come from the smallest weddings.
